Jurassic World Dominion (2022) review

Jurassic World: Dominion is one of the most depressing pictures I've seen this season, and I've seen plenty of bad movies as an editor of film reviews. The third film of the Jurassic World trilogy and the sixth installment in the Jurassic Park series as a total failed to meet the expectations surrounding it. It was evident from the start that this film wasn't going to be a huge success.

Jurassic World: Dominion is an exciting tale of dinosaurs threatening the earth. Instead of taking the idea and expanding the concept, the film is safe by confining the dinosaurs to a smaller park. This is only one of the many blunders that the movie has to offer.

One of the major issues with the film is its failure to meet the high expectations established by Jurassic World, Dominion. The film was marketed as the ultimate conclusion to the Jurassic World trilogy. It promised a satisfying finale to the series , as well as huge improvement. A lot of viewers were disappointed and disillusioned because the film was not up to the high standards established (blog post) by its marketing.

Jurassic World's Dominion is a boring and complex storyline that isn't logical. It's because it attempts to include all of the characters from earlier films. The story is presented poorly and unnaturally by reducing historical characters to a mere semblance. This is a huge hole in the story's narrative. The film's duration is so long that you'll end up wondering what the whole drama was about after the titles begin.

Jurassic World: Dominion tries to keep the viewers entertained by synchronizing two boring and unrelated plotlines, however it is utterly unsuccessful. Although it is obvious that there's a Stegosaurus however, the movie seems to ignore it throughout it, leaving the audience to wonder why it's even in the first place.

In all honesty, while Jurassic World: Dominion may be a step up from the infamous Jurassic Park III, that's far from acclamation. It's also the most ineffective of the Jurassic Park series overall, which is quite a statement given the track record of the series of mediocre storylines. Jurassic World, Dominion, is a horrible, pointless wasted effort. It's disappointing to both fans who have been around for a long time as well as new Jurassic Park fans and new viewers.

If you are someone who is a Jurassic Park fan, this film is not for you. Instead, it's best to watch the first Jurassic Park film again, since it's generally believed that it's the most enjoyable of the bunch.
